Assistant Principal - Glenn Napier
My name is Glenn Napier, and I am honored to serve as the 7th Grade Assistant Principal at Baxter Jr. High School. With 14 years of experience in education, I’ve had the privilege of working in several school districts including Arlington, Dallas, Irving, Grand Prairie, Duncanville, and currently Everman, where I am now in my second year.
Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of Social Studies courses spanning grades 6–12—such as U.S. History, World Cultures, and Government. I've also held multiple leadership roles including Department Chair, Grade Level Lead, and Mentor Teacher. Outside the classroom, I’ve enjoyed coaching football, basketball, softball, soccer, and track, and I’ve proudly served as a Liaison for Texas Youth and Government.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Black World Studies from Miami University in 2008 and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas in 2017. I am also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and I strive to uphold its aims—Manly Deeds, Scholarship, and Love for All Mankind—in every aspect of my role.
My passion lies in building and sustaining positive relationships among teachers, students, and community stakeholders—relationships that extend well beyond the classroom and the school year. My "why" is rooted in witnessing the long-term growth and success of my former students, and I remain deeply grateful for the lessons they have taught me along the way.
Outside of education, I am a devoted family man. I’ve been happily married to my wife Monica for seven years, and we have one amazing son, Preston. In my free time, I enjoy attending sporting events—especially football (Go Blue! Go Cowboys!)—and traveling with my family.
