Baxter Junior High School

My name is Jennifer Terry, and I am excited to serve as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Baxter Junior High for the 2025-2026 school year! I am thrilled to partner with you and collaboratively enhance the educational experience of our Baxter Bulldogs! This school year will be full of empowerment, exploration, collaboration, thriving, and academic success for our scholars!

This academic term commemorates my 18th year in the field of education, in which 5 of those years have been in Everman ISD. During my tenure in Everman ISD, I served one year as an Instructional Coach at Bishop Elementary and four combined years as Assistant Principal at Dan Powell Early Learning Academy, E. Ray Elementary, and this year will be my first as Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Baxter Junior High. The roles I have held throughout my career include: Kindergarten Teacher for seven years, Third Grade Teacher for one year, Instructional Coach for six years, and an Assistant Principal for four years. 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Texas Christian University in 2008 (Go, Frogs!) and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. I completed the Educational Leadership Program at Texas Christian University in 2021, while simultaneously obtaining my Principal as Instructional Leader certification for the state of Texas.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching and attending football and basketball games, hosting game nights, watching television, being an entrepreneur, and planning my upcoming wedding!

I feel the greatest reward in education is being blessed with the opportunity to impact lives on a daily basis. I am delighted to serve the Baxter Junior High community with passion, dedication, cohesiveness, and a student-centered focus. I look forward to an INCREDIBLE school year where we will learn and grow TOGETHER!
